It's okay, I'm still trying to find my copy of The Sound of Water, it's a great collection of haikus, I've looked for it everywhere, I'm thinking I should buy another copy.

dear emerson -- I wish I remembered! I misplaced my copy of Koch's Selected Poems, and was relying on memory. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

What is the title of the poem with the nose? It sounds interesting and I would love to read it.

Koch's early work could be quite wild, and quite fun. One of his poems begins, "I love you as a sheriff searches for a walnut"; another, "It is very satisfying to have a nose/ Right in the middle of my face!" Even in his late work, a little surrealism creeps in there. From a late prose poem called "My Olivetti Speaks": "The iris is a flower that is past meridian, a ghost come bearing you a villanelle."
