Peckin’ by Shel Silverstein

Here’s another Shel Silverstein poem. This one is not so ridiculously funny as many of his others. In fact, I can even relate to it.

Peckin’
By Shel Silverstein

Was a woodpecker peckin’ at a plastic tree.
He looks at me, and “Friend,” says he,
“Things ain’t as sweet as they used to be.”
